It all started with a visionary mechanic and a talented bookseller. That was back in 1895, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement started producing bicycles in the Czech town of Mladá Boleslav. A whole series of milestones were set during the following 119 years: The change to manufacturing cars, large-scale fusions with ŠKODA and VW, not to mention the development of models such as the Octavia, Fabia, Superb and Yeti – all of which have made an international name for themselves. With over 25,000 employees and agents in over 100 countries, the Czech import brand, ŠKODA, has continued to write success stories to the present day. Děkuji ŠKODA.

With almost 300,000 units sold in just four years, ŠKODA’s Yeti has now progressed a step further – or perhaps even two – with firstly the City car and secondly the Outdoor version. This new all-round vehicle was presented to selected journalists at Düsseldorf Airport, where they had an opportunity to become acquainted with the Yeti during a PR event that included a test drive. These guests were of course welcomed in a cleverly planned and personal way on their arrival in the highly frequented terminal building. The key objective here was to spark their enthusiasm for the latest vehicle technology.

Whether at high-speeds on the freeway or during a relaxing cross-country drive, Düsseldorf Airport is predestined for live car presentations, thanks to its optimum location. The invited trade journalists were welcomed by ŠKODA immediately upon arrival in the terminal and guided to a centrally located press counter with highly effective, eye-catching branding. From here they were taken directly to short-term car park P12, an ideal starting point and location for getting the journalists “fully revved up”. ŠKODA was able to utilize this valuable presentation time in the best possible way since it only takes a few minutes to walk from P12 to the terminal. In addition to the car parks, the conference and banqueting center also offers additional presentation options with the most advanced technology, catering and a breathtaking view of the runway.
